Yamaguchi University Tenure Track System
The tenure track system is a system by which young researchers who were hired by a fair and highly transparent selection process are employed for a fixed period and gain experience as a researcher before undergoing review and receiving a permanent position.
At Yamaguchi University, the adoption of the “Tenure Track Expansion and Entrenchment Project” from the 2011 Special Coordination Fund for Promoting Science and Technology (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) is aimed at employing and cultivating young researchers at the world’s top level through international recruitment, and the university is working to further expand its researcher development system.
Yamaguchi University is preparing an independent research environment and expand the research support system, aiming for greater development of the tenant track faculty which it has hired. It is also conducting fair and transparent examinations and evaluations.
The selecting departments for academic year 2011 are the Graduate School of Medicine and the Graduate School of Science and Engineering.
